MEP Rough-In Coordination: Three Trades in the Same Space Above Your Ceiling
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-in happens in the same congested spaces — above ceilings, in walls, in chases — at roughly the same time. Without coordination, the trades interfere with each other, work gets redone, and the project falls behind. BIM coordination catches clashes ahead of time; field coordination resolves what BIM didn't catch. Managing the MEP interfaces well during rough-in is where most commercial projects either flow or stall.
